Fiddle Judge ~ Mathew Johnson

Mathew Johnson - Mathew Johnson started fiddling when he was 3, started competing when he was 4, and has been judging fiddling at competitions for over 25 years.

He has entertained all across Canada and the United States, as well as several places throughout Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. Mathew has won numerous awards during his competitive career, including the Canadian Open Fiddle Championships, the People’s Choice award (2 times), and the Most Entertaining Fiddler (5 times) at Shelburne, as well as being the First Runner-Up (4 times) at the Canadian Grand Master’s Fiddle Championships.

He currently resides in Kitchener with his wife and 2 children where he works full-time as a computer engineer, designing computer chips.
